Wadia is a bistro type restaurant that is tucked away in a little side street in the Montparnasse area on a historical site located next door to the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and is where starving artists once use to go for a meal.

This authentic and small bistro has a bright and warm feel and has been tastefully renovated, yet still an almost 1930's look with the original tiled floor and lots of pictures decorating the walls.

Wadja Bistro

Situated in the 6th Arrondissement of Paris this restaurant is a cross between being simple yet sophisticated and is an extremely friendly place where you can sample their specialities from the Basque country.

The menu changes with the seasons depending upon what ingredients are available, but you could find dishes such as foie gras sautéed with prunes, grilled swordfish, leek galettes, agneau de sept heures (lamb cooked two different ways for seven hours), grilled turbot filet on whipped potatoes, duck filet with caramelised pears, poached peaches with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, etc.

Within the Wadia restaurant in Paris there is an A la Carte menu available, but also a very reasonably priced plat du jour which has a choice of main courses and either a starter or a dessert and this changes daily.

A very friendly place that you can take all the family without breaking the bank, this little restaurant in Paris is very popular with the locals and the owner even speaks a little English, plus there is a very interesting wine list with wine regions such as the Loire and Languedoc.
