This is a Chinese Junk that used to be known as the Pirate of Guinette and then the Cabaret Pirate. However, recently it has reclaimed its maiden name of Dame de Canton, which basically translates to Lady of the Region.

The Chinese Junk, Lady of Canton is actually a wooden boat and a replica of a original sailing ship that would have been as a merchant ship sailing the great China Seas from the 17th century.

This cabaret and music venue is as original as you are likely to get and has a very friendly atmosphere, and provides a line up of different shows both for children and adults.

The upper space, on the deck is where the concerts are held and down below there are different rooms that make up spaces for dining, etc.

The Dame de Canton was one of the first night club boats moored to a quay on the River Seine and is situated in the 13th arrondissement on the Quai François Mauriac, located right under the Bibliotheque Nationale.

You will be able to choose between concerts, dance, children's shows, film screenings, DJ nights or just an evening meal. There is a very broad range of music on offer at this unique venue, which includes things like jazz, rock, pop, folk, blues, reggae and even classical music, plus more.

At the weekends after the concerts have finished there are the DJ Party Nights that also have different themes and run until dawn and entry for the clubbing is around 6 Euros.

As for the children, there are shows held at 2.45pm in the afternoons and they have lots of different shows such as an interactive music theatre for 3 to9 year olds, the cabaret clowns act from the age of 5 upwards, a pirate concert for children aged 3 plus, etc. The ticket office opens at 2pm ready for when the show starts sharp at 2.45pm, plus they also hold childrens birthday parties on a Wednesday afternoon as well.

The Chinese Junk, Dame de Canton or Lady of Canton can be hired out for different events during the day and evening for things such as family gatherings, parties, meetings press conferences, lunches, festive evenings and even photo shoots.

The Restaurant is open from 8pm on a Tuesday through to a Saturday and is a great way to enjoy a relaxing, cosy time on this mythical Junk and the pricing does vary depending upon what type of menu you choose, also, the dinners are cheaper if you have paid for the concert as well.

The Lady of Canton or Cabaret Pirate in Paris is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7pm to 2 am and on Fridays and Saturdays it stays open until dawn. However on Sundays and Mondays the times and opening times will vary as this depends upon the programme and any events that have been arranged.
