The incredibly talented chef Guy Savoy has opened another restaurant in Paris and with the help of the designer and architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, has completely transformed Le Chiberta into a creative and modern place to eat out in Paris and is on a similar lines yet more affordable for most than his haute cuisine restaurant called the Guy Savoy.

So whether you wish to enjoy a romantic dinner for two, have a business meeting, or just catch up with friends for lunch, this restaurant has a variety of surroundings and spaces, with different lighting and atmospheres, to provide the perfect ambience of your choice.

There are subdued colours and contemporary materials used, with dark walls, black chairs, red abstract paintings and crisp white tablecloths to provide you with this modern, chic and contemporary feel, yet at the same time it is very cosy, refined and comfortable.

Le Chiberta is situated in the 8th arrondissement of Paris on a side street only around twenty metres from the famous Avenue des Champs Elysees and a stones throw from the Paris monument, the Arc de Triomphe.

This restaurant has a unique style of French cuisine that has been elaborated on to provide your senses with unusual and exquisite tastes of pleasure and it was Guy Savoy himself along with the very capable chef Gilles Chesneau that designed the menu.

Just some of the delights you may be able to experience include fillet of venison with puree of red beetroot, brussel sprouts and spices, scallops with a crust of buckwheat and Jerusalem artichoke mousseline, cream of carrots with lemongrass, ginger and quick-fried Dublin Bay prawns, fillet of sea bream with spelt risotto, shrimps and citron flavour, fillet of sole from Brittany with mashed potatoes and a seaweed flavour, chicken breast stuffed with foie gras, green cabbage and mushrooms with a laurel juice, roasted veal chop with mashed potato and black truffles.

This gourmet restaurant is more like one of the Michelin starred restaurants in Paris, yet with a far lower price tag, and the capable friendly staff will make your meal all the more pleasant, but dinner by candlelight can also make the setting that bit better for a romantic evening to remember.

Restaurant Guide Key Points

Le Chiberta is open every day, except for Saturday lunch and on a Sunday.

There are also private dining rooms available and the restaurant can be entirely privatised upon prior arrangement.

Reservations are highly recommended and the dress code is smart casual, but is also a place where you will often find people in business suits.

There is a tasting menu for around 100€ or you can also choose for a wine pairing with this option that is approximately 155€, or of course you can select from the A la Carte menu, where the average cost will be around 65€ upwards not including drinks.

The nearest Metro station is Charles de Gaulle Etoile, but if you are walking down the Champs Elysees from the notorious intersection where the Arc de Triomphe stands, then you would take the second street on your left.
